Stephen Louis Grush (Romeo) returns to CST, after appearing in Cymbeline last fall. Other recent Chicago credits include Good Boys and True and Last of the Boys (Steppenwolf Theatre Company), Oedipus Complex and Pericles (Goodman Theatre), as well as Hamlet and A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Mid Tangent Productions, where he is a part of their artistic ensemble). His favorite regional credits include: Macbeth, Twelfth Night, and Henry VIII (Illinois Shakespeare Festival). Stephen is a founding member and the Artistic Director of Thirteen Pocket, dedicated to original works. In third grade, Stephen saw a production of Hamlet in the French Quarter of New Orleans. “It was a modern take on the story, and Hamlet had a pistol. I went to the public library and memorized his famous “To be or not to be” speech… I didn’t know what any of it meant, but I wanted to know it.”
