Christopher Prentice (Mercutio) returns to CST, having understudied and appeared in The Three Musketeers. His Chicago credits include: Hamlet, The Zoo Story, She Stoops to Conquer, and Waiting for Godot (Signal Ensemble Theatre, where he is a co-founder); Robin Hood (Oak Park Festival); The Tempest (First Folio); Pride and Prejudice (Northlight Theatre); Measure for Measure (Next Theatre); and work with Irish Rep, Stage Left, Sansculottes, Velvet Willies, Boxer Rebellion and New Leaf theaters. Regionally, Christopher has worked with American Players Theatre, Milwaukee Repertory Theater, Dallas Theater Center and Illinois Shakespeare Festival. A native Texan, he earned a BFA from Southern Methodist University. In high school, Christopher was a French horn player, and still composes and arranges music, and plays the piano. About acting Shakespeare, he says, “I love using the language and trying to help the listener see the same pictures I see. I also enjoy the sword-play—it’s the best exercise I get.”
