Ethan Deppe (Composer/Musician, July 12 – August 1) returns to Chicago Shakespeare Theater, after appearing in Short Shakespeare! The Taming of the Shrew when it premiered in the spring, and Short Shakespeare! Macbeth. A graduate of the University of Illinois in music composition, his first musical, Keep Ishmael, was produced in 2006. His musical credits include: West Side Story, The Who’s Tommy, A Little Night Music, The Adding Machine, Parade, Assassins and I Sing! (Jeff Nomination—Music Direction). He attended Centennial High School in Champaign, IL and now performs across the country as a music director and instrumentalist. Ethan has been playing piano since he was five years old and started writing music in high school before going to college to study music. He also enjoys practicing martial arts.
