Ronald L. Conner (Grumio) returns to Chicago Shakespeare Theater, after appearing in Short Shakespeare! The Taming of the Shrew when it premiered in the spring. Other Chicago credits include African Company Presents Richard III, Deep Azure (Congo Square Theatre Company); The Oresteia (Greasy Joan & Co.); Black Caesar, the 2005 Young Playwrights Festival (Pegasus Players); and Short Eyes (Urban Theatre Company). Regional credits include Macbeth, The River Niger and Joe Turner’s Come and Gone (St. Louis Black Repertory Company). He is an ensemble member at Congo Square Theatre Company. Ron grew up in St. Louis, MO and chose drama as a career when he was 17. “I love acting,” he says, “because I get to study different human behaviors.” In addition to acting, Ron performs as an MC in Chicago and St. Louis.
