Alan Schmuckler (Tranio) returns to Chicago Shakespeare Theater, where his credits include: The Two Noble Kinsmen, The Three Musketeers and Much Ado About Nothing. Other Chicago credits include: Shenandoah, Alice in Wonderland, Jack and the Beanstalk (The Marriott Theatre); She Stoops to Conquer (Northlight Theatre); Fiorello! (TimeLine Theatre); and A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum (Noble Fool Theatricals). Regional credits include A Little Night Music and Seussical the Musical (Wagon Wheel Theatre). Alan is the co-writer (music, lyrics and book) of the musical How Can You Run with a Shell on Your Back?, which premiered at CST in the spring. He is a graduate of Northwestern University. Alan knew he wanted to be an actor for as long as he can remember. His favorite thing about performing is “sharing a story with the audience, moment to moment.”
