Christopher McLinden (Lucentio) returns to Chicago Shakespeare Theater after appearing in Short Shakespeare! The Taming of the Shrew when it premiered in the spring. Other Chicago credits include: The Diary of Anne Frank, Last of the Boys (Steppenwolf Theatre Company); The Seagull, The Duchess of Malfi (Writers’ Theatre); Vincent in Brixton (Apple Tree Theatre—After Dark Award); A Midsummer Night’s Dream (First Folio Shakespeare Festival); Lady from the Sea (Greasy Joan & Co.); The Vortex (Boxer Rebellion); The Old Lady Shows Her Medals, Man of Destiny and You Never Can Tell (Shaw Chicago Theater Company). His first drama teacher, Dee Heuer, inspired him and many other young people to explore the theater. Christopher attended DeKalb High School, and went on to study at Northern Illinois University and the Moscow Art Theatre School. When he isn’t performing, he likes to backpack and ski in the West.
