Peggy Roeder (Edith Sopperstein) returns to Chicago Shakespeare Theater, where her credits include The Wizard of Oz, Kabuki Lady Macbeth and Romeo and Juliet. She has worked at Goodman Theatre, Steppenwolf Theatre Company, Court Theatre, The Marriott Theatre, Writers’ Theatre, Drury Lane Oakbrook and Apple Tree Theatre. She is the recipient of four Jeff Awards, two After Dark Awards and three Artisan Awards. Film and television credits include: Stranger Than Fiction, Road to Perdition, Groundhog Day, The Lake House, Law and Order, E.R. and Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. Peggy has sung in concert at Ravinia Festival and can be heard on the Second City Divas CDs. She and her sisters produced plays in their basement when they were in grade school and sent all the money to C.A.R.E., a charity that fights poverty.
