Churchill War Museum and Cabinet War Rooms
Prime Minister Winston Churchill and his cabinet met in an underground shelter throughout the war. Sealed up not long after the end of the war, the rooms remained almost intact until they were reopened as a museum in 1984. The museum website features a virtual tour, images of some of the most important rooms, and descriptions of work and life in the shelter.
